Des Cowperthwaite, Director of NZ Roofing Consultants Ltd, has over 50 years’ experience in the roofing industry, having previously owned the roofing companies Cowperthwaite Ltd, Cowperthwaite Coatings Ltd and Hibiscus Roofing Co Ltd, leading to an extensive knowledge of roofing and the roofing industry and experience in contract management, quality control and onsite supervision.
In his current capacity as an independent roofing consultant, Des has extensive experience in carrying out roofing inspections, producing written reports and serving as an expert witness for WHRS claims.
Des is a life member of the Roofing Association of New Zealand (RANZ) and was a member of the founding committee. He served as president of RANZ from 1996 to 2008 and was made a life member in 2008. NZ Roofing Consultants Ltd is an Associate Member of RANZ.
